Peckham Practice Chadwick Road

Who comes to see me?

People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. You might feel anxious or overwhelmed, struggle in a relationship, dealing with loss, or notice you keep finding yourself in the same situations.

Sometimes there isn't one particular problem. You may be getting on with life, work, and relationships, but feel that something isn't quite right.

You don't need to arrive with an explanation. We can take some time to understand what's happening together.

What might therapy with me feel like?

I try to offer a space where you can slow things down and not have to pretend that everything is okay.

As a Gestalt psychotherapist, I'm interested in your experiences and your story, but also in what we notice as we sit together. That might be a feeling that's difficult to put into words, something you notice in your body, or a pattern that seems to keep appearing in your relationships.

I'm not there to judge you or tell you what you should do. I may gently challenge you at times, but therapy with me is collaborative and led by curiosity.

Sometimes simply having the space to notice what is happening, rather than immediately trying to change it, can be where something begins to shift.
